Eligibility Criteria for IIT Guwahati JE Recruitment

1. Educational Qualification

● Required Degree: Three-year Diploma in Civil / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University / Institute.

● Minimum Marks: Candidates must have a minimum of 60% marks or 6.0 CGPA.

● Crucial Note: Candidates possessing higher qualifications such as B.E. / B.Tech are NOT eligible to apply.

2. Required Experience

(Discipline-wise) Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of relevant field experience:

● Civil Engineering: Field experience in building maintenance, preparation of technical estimates, tender preparation, concrete works, and other site-related civil engineering activities.

● Electrical Engineering: Experience in HT/LT substation maintenance, DG (Diesel Generator) maintenance.

● Mechanical Engineering: Experience in the maintenance of air conditioning systems.

3. Age Limit

● The maximum age limit of the candidate should be 28 years as on the last date of receipt of the application. 

Salary / Remuneration

● Consolidated Stipend: Rs. 25,000/- per month will be paid during the contract period.

● Perks: Free hostel accommodation may be provided, subject to availability.

Important Points to Remember

● NOC Requirement: Govt. / PSU employees must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) issued by their present employer at the time of certificate verification, or else an UNDERTAKING must be submitted.
