Gaon Pradhan Recruitment 2026 under Bokakhat & Khumtai
The Co-District Commissioner, Bokakhat has invited applications from eligible citizens for a total of 6 vacant Gaon Pradhan (Village Headman) positions across villages under the Bokakhat and Khumtai Revenue Circles.
In pursuance of the Govt Letler eCF No. RKG/710/2023-LR-GLT/161 dated 03.06.2026, applications are invited from eligible Indian citizens for appointment to a total of 6 vacant Gaon Pradhan (Village Headman) posts in the villages under the Bokakhat and Khumtai Revenue Circle. Applicants must submit their applications in the standard prescribed form “Part IX of the Assam Gazette” and mention the name(s) of the village(s) for which the are applying for the post of Gaon Pradhan.
Eligibility
| ●Remuneration: | Rs. 14,000/- per month. |
| ● Age Limit: | • Candidates must not be less than 25 years on 1st January, 2026. • Age limit of candidates will be calculated on the basis of Birth Certificate issued by the competent authority. HSLC Admit card/Certificates issued by recognized Board/ Council. • No other documents shall be accepted in lieu thereof for the purpose |
| ● Education: | Minimum 10th pass (HSLC) from a recognized Board/Institution. |
| ● Other Criteria: | • Candidate should be a citizen of India and a permanent resident of the area in respect of which he/she seeks Appointment. • Candidate should be physically fit and have sound mind. • Candidate should not have been declared as an insolvent or defaulter in payment of Govt. dues (furnish Bakijai Clearance Certificate) • Candidate should not be a government employee. • Candidate should not be member of any political party. • Candidate should have land or immovable property in his/her name in the area in which he/she intends to be appointed as Gaon Pradhan. • Candidate should not have more than 2 (two) living children from a single or multiple partner (in cognizance to Government of Assam Notification dated 19th July, 2019 vide No. RLR. 187/2007/Pt/24) • Candidate should furnish a self-affidavit that the applicant does not have more than two living children from single / multiple partners. |
How to Apply:
| a) Candidates must submit their application in the prescribed form of application “Part IX of the Assam Gazette” only and no other form of application will be entertained. b) Candidates have to submit their duly filled application along with other documents to the RKG Branch. O/o the Co-District Commissioner, Bokakhat from the date of publication of this advertisement till 6th July, 2026. c) The application must be accompanied by self-attested copies of the following documents. • Educational qualification Certificate, Mark sheet, Admit Card of HSLC. • Age proof Certificate (i.e. birth Certificate issued by the competent authority or HSLC Admit Card Certificates issued by the recognized Board/Council. • Three recent passport size colour photographs-of size 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm with white. Three recent passport size colour photographs of size 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm with white background 5 cm with white Background. • PAN Card • Voter ID Card • Small Family Norms affidavit/Self Declaration stating that the applicant does not have more then 2 (two) living children from a single/multiple partners. • Jamabandi in the name of the applicant/family member of the concerned village where he/she is applying for the post of Gaon Pradhan • Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC) • Self-declaration stating that he/she does not belong to any political party and not a government employee • Govt. dues and Bakijai clearance certificate. |
Period for receipt of application:
| • Applications will be received from the date of publication of this advertisement up to 6th July, 2026 |
Note:-
| • Candidate must carry all testimonials in original and photocopy at the time of interview. • No request for admission for participation in the interview on another day, will be accepted in case candidate falls to attend the interview on the scheduled date. • Eligible candidates scoring highest marks in the Viva Voce will be selected for the post of Gaon Pradhan for the concerned village • All appointment will be made after Police verification report as per procedure |
