Overview of the Notification

The Government of Assam is offering multiple financial assistance and scholarship programs to uplift the students and individuals of the Tea Tribes and Adivasi communities. From pre-matric scholarships to major disease treatment grants, the government aims to provide comprehensive support for the 2026-27 financial year.

List of Available Schemes (2026-27)

The Directorate is accepting applications for the following seven major schemes.

Minimum Eligibility Criteria

To successfully apply for any of the above schemes, applicants must meet the following mandatory criteria:

1. Community: The applicant must belong to the Tea Tribes and Adivasi community.
2. Residency: The applicant must be a permanent resident of Assam.
3. Income Limit: The annual family income must not exceed Rs. 5.00 Lakh. A formal undertaking stating this must be submitted by the Parent/Guardian in the prescribed format.
4. Bank Details: The applicant must possess a valid, scheduled Bank Account that is actively seeded with their AADHAAR number.

Important Note: The closing date does not apply to the "Grants to patients suffering from TB/Cancer and other major diseases" scheme, as applications for this medical grant are received round the year.
